How avoided plastic is calculated
We assume that each Fluye replaces ~3 disposable plastic bottles per week if it replaces bottled water consumption, about 12 per month. In company mode, we calculate the equivalent of a full year, about 150 units per person. The actual impact varies depending on your previous habits.

How is CO₂e saved calculated?
Each disposable plastic bottle avoided represents ~100 g of CO₂e (manufacturing, transport, and waste). We multiply that saving by the number of plastic bottles you avoid during your period of use.

How is the equivalence calculated?
A beef burger (150g animal protein) generates ~2.5 kg CO₂e including livestock production, processing, and transportation. A 500ml Fluye has a manufacturing footprint of 2.03 kg CO₂e (cradle-to-gate, primary supplier data).
